Is it possible to book the accommodation in Istria this summer?
The accommodation facilities and the rest of the tourist facilities in Istria are getting ready to provide safe conditions to the visitors, according to the measures and recommendations of the Croatian Public Health Institute. The measures are related to the functioning of the hotels and private accommodation, tourist agencies, camps and marinas, air traffic, national and nature parks.
The aim of all the tourism stakeholders is to provide the maximum safety to the guests as well as to provide the health conditions that will affect the health of the local people as well as health of all the Croatian and international citizens who plan to visit the Istrian Region.

Which services are open in Istria?
In Istria all the services are open, including the shops, markets, shopping centres, pharmacies, banks, post offices, hairdressers, beauty salons and fitness centres. Cafes and restaurants are opened in adherence with all the measures and recommendations of the Croatian Public Health Institute. Museums, libraries, nature parks and national parks, are all open for visitors.
It is recommendable to contact each object before visiting it in order to get the information about the business hours and to book the appointment, where possible.
Are cafes and restaurants open?
Yes, it is possible to drink coffee, tea or some other favourite drink in the cafes and restaurants in Istria, and order favourite meal in restaurants, taverns, pubs and patisseries. The health conditions of the employees and guests of the services will be provided, adhering to the current measures and recommendations.
In this case, it is also recommendable to contact each object in order to get information about business hours of each object and to book the table, where possible.

Are the state borders open?
Currently the state border of the Republic of Croatia is open for foreign citizens that fulfil these conditions: ownership of the real estate in Croatia, ownership of the company or business activities, the official invitation of the business object to Republic of Croatia, attending the funeral or visit to the sick person.
Citizens of member state of the EU/EEA who have booked tourist accommodation in the Republic of Croatia, have to present the confirmation of accommodation booking in an accommodation establishment to enter the Republic of Croatia.
